SCGMA AI Copilots & Agentic Workflows Workshop

Join AI consultant Stjepan Mikulic for this two-session workshop on bridging the gap between basic AI tools and advanced agentic workflows using practical AI copilots. Participants will learn to design and deploy contractor workflow–specific copilots for tasks such as contract review, meeting summaries, and project coordination—providing a hands-on foundation for adopting AI today while preparing for autonomous, agentic workflows in the future.

Session 1: From AI Tools to Workflow Copilots

Date: Wednesday, April 22 | Time: 11:00am- 12:30pm PT | Location: Zoom

Agenda:

  • 10–15 minute recap of the previous workshops and where we are in the AI adoption journey
  • Introduction to agentic AI and copilots (assistants vs copilots vs automation vs agents)
  • Overview of tools and platforms enabling agentic workflows
  • Common contractor workflows and pain points (bid management, contracts, coordination, compliance, estimating, documentation)
  • Mapping workflows for AI augmentation (workflow → data → AI reasoning → output → human review)
  • Demonstration examples such as contract/specification review or meeting recap copilots
  • Group exercise: design an AI copilot for a chosen workflow

Session 2: Building Practical AI Copilots

Date: Tuesday, May 5 | Time: 11:00am- 12:30pm PT | Location: Zoom

Agenda:

  • Recap and discussion of workflow ideas from Session 1
  • Building your own AI agent/copilot (no-code or low-code approach)
  • Customizing prompts and workflow logic for real contractor tasks
  • Demonstrations such as bid review assistants or project coordination copilots
  • Hands-on exercise adapting the framework to participants’ workflows
  • Deployment and adoption best practices (pilots, governance, security, AI champions)
  • Q&A and next steps
