New FEHA Regulations Require Updated Workplace Poster as of April 1
The Fair Employment and Housing Council’s amendments to regulations under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) take effect April 1, 2016, and requires updated posters.
One replaces Notice A, which describes employee rights and obligations when using Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL). The updated Notice A reflects the amendments to the PDL regulations.
Employers must also post Notice B, which describes the interaction between Pregnancy Disability Leave and leave under the California Family Rights Act. Notice B was last amended in mid-2015.
All California employers ARE REQUIRED to post the Department of Fair Employment and Housing’s poster “California Law Prohibits Workplace Discrimination and Harassment” (DFEH-162).
A complete list and links to all brochures and posters can be found on the Department of Fair Employment and Housing’s website.
