SCGMA YPG Event Recap – Access Hardware Supply Tour

On Friday, December 19, our Young Professionals gathered at Access Hardware Supply’s new Southern California distribution center in Rancho Cucamonga for an engaging morning focused on door and security hardware solutions for glazing projects.

The event kicked off with a series of presentations and discussions, beginning with insights from on Access Hardware’s current product offerings and highlighted common door and security hardware specifications being requested across today’s projects. This was followed by a discussion with a local glazing contractor, who provided real-world perspective on active jobs, project challenges, and frequently specified hardware for a variety of glass types, including tempered, laminated, energy-efficient, and bullet-resistant glass.

The attendees participated in a hands-on review of standard door hardware offerings, where the Access Hardware team demonstrated precision-engineered solutions, shared best practices for hardware selection, and offered practical tips for accurate estimating and leveraging leading brands effectively.

The morning concluded with a guided tour of the AHS warehouse, giving guests an inside look at the new Southern California facility and a better understanding of how Access Hardware Supply’s inventory, logistics, and fulfillment capabilities—such as same-day shipping, over-the-counter service, and after-hours pickup—help glazing professionals keep projects on schedule.

The event wrapped up with lunch, providing time for networking and continued conversation. Overall, the workshop delivered valuable peer-driven insights, hands-on learning, and a behind-the-scenes look at how Access Hardware Supply supports the glazing community with expertise, efficiency, and reliable service.
