Wage Opener Update for
Glaziers, Architectural Metal, and Glass Local Union 636

This is an update regarding the Wage Opener scheduled for June 1, 2013 required under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

As of today Wage Opener discussions are not complete. Southern California Glass Management Association (SCGMA) requested a freeze of all wages and benefits until the end of the current contract that expires May 31, 2014. A mutual agreement has not been established currently but, discussions will continue this week. At this point in time the current wage and benefit schedule, set to expire May 31, 2013, will remain in effect until an agreement to change the current schedule is complete. Should any changes be implemented, the prevailing wage rates would not take effect until the next DIR posting of September 1, 2013 at the earliest. SCGMA will continue to provide you with updates as talks move forward.
